My happy Valentine's day,Friday the 13th

Got a little bit time to cook and had an awesome Valentine's day.
Testing out our new Nikon D40 camera by shooting some of our special dinner.

We went to see the movie Friday the 13th. Well, this movie is better than I thought, specially when I find out the leading actor is Jared Padalecki ,my the show Supernatural hero! I know it sounds lame,I'm not expecting lots of people know about show Supernatural here in US, but guess what,this show is so popular in China, just like prison break.

I can say this is a quality remake, following the same old horror movie routine, but there's still something new. I guess i watched almost all the Jason's movie,Friday the 13th (remake),Friday the 13th Part 2, Friday the 13th: Final Chapter, Friday the 13th (original), Friday the 13th: Jason Lives, Friday the 13th Part 3: AFreddy vs Jason: Friday the 13th: New Blood, Friday the 13th: New Beginning, Jason Goes to Hell.

I like this remake and the original the most.

我的MBA生活

开学已经一个多月了。每周15小时的课时想想没多少， 真正忙起来，还真要命。
写一些最近生活的体会和经验吧，给准备到米国读MBA的XDJMS一些生活学习上的点子吧
1.我班上有5个中国学生（包括我），开学那天我挺意外的， 更意外的是，还有2个是老乡，嘿嘿。最后我们发扬中国人的团结一致，把500刀的书本费最后平摊到30刀， 强烈建议赴美的留学生们发扬这种精神。
2. 上课笔记的问题，一定练好打英语，很多教授上课不用书本的，基本上就是说，我们打字，真的真的很重要，开始我也跟不上来着，现在好多了。要是担心自己既不下来的，一定带个可以录音的MP3，教授授课都是带着麦克风的。录制效果不错，哈哈。
3. 打印不花钱。 我们教室旁边就有打印机，全无线上网覆盖，直接无线打印，很方便，其他办公用品都是自行取用，全部免费。
4. 吃在校园。 说实话， 让我天天吃老美的东西，不光是要长胖，还超级不喜欢。到学生中心去吃午饭的花销一般在5-10刀。（特别是你要买饮料的话）。我的省钱办法，有时间就自己做饭，第二天上课的时候带去，教室旁的休息室有冰箱，微波炉，很方便。我连水都自己带，当然你也可以花1.25刀买水，或者直接喝水龙头的水，我很多同学都这样干。自己做饭的成本才2刀左右，而且我把厨艺也练出来了。何乐而不为啊？

今天就想到这些。

Fun game to play--Markstrat for marketing class

Markstrat is an online learning software for strategic marketing,. It is used to teach students the concepts of strategic marketing in a simulated online world known as the Markstrat World. All you see is a world built with numbers.Markstrat allows students and executives to practice in a certain amount of time. We have a about a semester to play with it.It is a common tool to aid teaching courses in strategy in business schools,I guess specially popular in B-school in US.

key words that will be helpful in this game: be aggressive, do research,team work.
Get people do what they are good at.

I can't say too much about how we play this game, hey, our competitors might check my blog tomorrow, so I guess i will write about it more after the game ends.

weekend in lost valley

On the way drove to Buffalo river, we can see the beauty of wild elk. They were just simply enjoy thr sun and the peace of Buffalo rive.

It's a one and half hours drive from fayetteville to Buffalo river,very nice place to spend weekends and spring break. Actually we plan to go a 2-day canoe trip and camp around the river in the spring break.

The trail begins at the Lost Valley campground and terminates in a cave 1 ½ miles up the valley. Features include waterfalls, a cascading creek, towering cliffs, a large bluff shelter, a natural bridge, spring wildflowers and a hardwood forest containing American Beech. The cave itself is a tight squeeze for approximately 200 feet ending in a large room with a 35-foot-tall waterfall. Clark Creek, like most tributaries to the Buffalo River, tends to dry up or go underground during the late summer and early fall of most years. The available brochure is self-guiding. The first mile to Eden Falls is level and easy going. The trail then climbs steeply to the mouth of the cave. To explore the cave is the most fun part that we did in this trip.I've being doing the "spider man walk" in the cave, trying very hard to blend over my body to slowly move in inside of the cave.

Ice Storm in Arkansas

Finally get my internet back after the ice storm in Fayetteville.School canceled for 4 days and everything finally go back to normal.now it started getting better.The warm-up continues through the weekend with temperatures approaching the upper 60's to 70º.
Here is some picture about what happen in where I live,Lowell, 20 mins drive to school.

My home-town never snow, so for me,the ice storm gave me the chance to see what is really like to be in white,lol, it's cold. but it was OK, just a few days can't really go out,today, I've been already back to T-shirt and thin sweater walking outside now.

In campus:Our city crews have been out clearing debris, try to get rid of the mess. This Monday, when i saw everyone and say Hi, felt like it was a long time and a tiring vacation.Great thing happen last weekend, we went to hiking to Lost valley waterfall in baffulo river,taking the advantage of ice melting, we saw amazing waterfall and had fun caving,too. More detail are coming soon, after I read my TLOG case,lol, homework for next Wednesday.
